The Beginning Of A New Journey
The Beginning Of A New Journey:
The journey of a thousand miles only begins when you choose to make a change or a difference in your life for yourself,
Though remember that you have family and friends who will support you through the difficult times,
You rule your life like how you see it fit,
No one can tell you where or when you shall change your bad ways,
But they can guide you through the darkness of depression and urge you to head into the bright light of positivity and change,
Your life long journey is one you will never forget because it goes on throughout your life and through the afterlife,
This short paragraph sums up the idea of a new journey . . .
The road can go ever so long until there is no road to follow,
But
luckily you have a longer road ahead of you because the road I speak of
is one that can lead you to your future destination whether it is good
or bad it doesn’t matter as long as you start a new journey no matter
what happens to you.

Analysing Task For Lean On Me By Glee
Lean On Me By Glee
WALT use our analysing skills.
Success Criteria:
I can...
Part of the song
|
What is the main idea(s) in this part of the song?
|
Give an example from the text that supports this idea.
|
Give another example from the text that supports this idea.
|
Express your viewpoint by synthesising what you have analysed.
-Do you agree with this part of the song? Why/why not?
|
Verse 1
|
The main idea in verse one is that in everyone’s lives we all suffer pain and we all grieve with sorrow, but we also are wise enough to live until tomorrow.
|
“ Sometimes in our lives, We all have pain, We all have sorrow. ”
|
“ But if we are wise we know that there is always tomorrow. ”
|
The first verse expresses how life is cruel in serious matters but in return we state our position, and make certain that we have a wise choice in our good fortune and fate.
|
Chorus
|
The main idea in the chorus is that no matter what the problem is you will always have someone to lean on, like taking a friend of a family member for example.
|
“ Lean on me!
When you’re not strong, and I’ll be your friend,
I’ll help you carry on . ”
|
“For it won’t be long till i’m gonna need somebody to lean on.”
|
The chorus states some sort of comfort and empathy for the person in need of comfort or sympathy, but though we all have that kind of nature buried within us we all express it everyday in all that we do whether in motion or words.
it somehow the emotion of need is always there.
|
Verse 2
|
The main idea in the second verse
is that you should just ask and your friends will help.
|
“ Please! (please)
swallow your pride (pride)
if I have things
you need to borrow
|
“(For) for no one can fill
those of your needs”
|
The second verse has a meaning of providing and giving which is repaid through an emotional debt of guidance, tolerance, listening, and helpful kindness.
|
Verse 3
|
The main idea in the third verse is to let your troubles free, so you may breathe easily.
|
“ So just call (call) on me brother (Hey)
When you need a hand (When you need a hand)”
|
“When you need somebody to lean on
(I just might have a problem that you’ll understand)”
|
The third verse has a moral of lending a caring ear to the one who needs to let the tormenting bird of troubles out to catch the first essences of freedom and fresh air that calms and soothes us when we have just let out a heavy burden that clung to our shoulders.
|
Verse 4
|
The main idea in the fourth verse is that if we have a load of burdens to be rid of, all we need to do is let it all out.
|
“ Lean on me If (If) there is a load (there is a load) you have to bare (you have to bare) that you can carry, I’m higher (Higher ) right on the road and I’ll share your load.”
|
“ Call me (I'm calling)
Call me (when you need a friend)
Call me (call me)
Call me (call me) (when you need a friend)
Call me (when you need a friend)
Call me (if you need a friend)
Call me (any time of day
Call me. ”
|
The fourth verse expresses a lot of encouragement, comfort, and love through words that can only be expressed through feeling and emotion like how we all have pain in our lives and how that pain turns to sorrow and regret.
Though we have many things to discover in life we are always in the presence of comfort and encouragement from our family and friends.

A Poem About My Culture
Culture: Samoa And New Zealand
Samoa , Samoa is a place of tranquility ,
Samoa is a place of sweet voices and peaceful harmony ,
Samoa is a place filled with beautiful sceneries,
Samoa is a place filled with paradise featured animals,
Samoa is my island home,
That has beaches filled with sea foam,
Samoa is a place of paradise and hazy heats,
That cause myself to listen to some islander beats,
New Zealand, New Zealand is a place of peace and tolerance,
New Zealand is a place where the waves in the beaches topple over each other and send silent cries to my ears,
The calm sea sends messages to the people who are near,
that a sunny day that will bring good fortune and good fate is finally here.

Friendship Till The End Of Time:
Friendship Till The End Of Time:
Friendship, bent and twisted to create the forming sources of love and care,
That of course is what all friends share,
Competitive behaviour, secrets, and scandals,
Cause chaos between two bountiful friendly souls, and twist their emotional handles,
False Love, Guys, and money,
Play with the friendship of many who find their life within friendship as sweet as honey,
Tolerance, Peace, and Empathy is important to those who are not vulnerable but approachable,
Today friends all over the world whether black, white, tan or brown have been known to watch each others backs,
To help their friends in their needing of times when they are too busy building up their stacks,
Nobody, not a single soul would leave a good friend to fend for themselves in the battle against people and the cruel world,
But for those to just throw away that precious friendship into the trash,
Well they certainly will have no one to turn to in their need of help or comfort when their life ends with a flash,
Remember your friend is like your sister or brother and you will do anything to make sure they are in safe hands even if you have to break their fragile trust.

A Poem About The Beach
Poem About The Beach
The sun up high,
Floating around in the sky,
Waves layering over the top of each other,
Singing a lullaby like a soft hearted mother,
My feet sinking down in the hot sand,
The hotness in my feet is making my heart beat like a well rehearsed band,
The clouds floating like marshmallows in the sky,
Look like puffy pillows shaping a hand to wave goodbye,
The fishes in the water are swimming with glee,
But all good times must come to an end when the school has to flee,
The sun is setting in the East,
But time to go home for a well deserved feast.

A Poem That Describes Me
A Poem that Describes me
I’m a bird flying high and low,
Listen to me sing like you’re in an Opera Show.
I’m a beautiful fish swimming frantically for my life,
When I sing the National Anthem I like the part when we sing from the shafts of strife.
I’m a cuddly puppy with starstruck in my eyes,
I’m also a fan of poems that say Love never dies.
I can be shy like a newborn lamb,
But let me tell you that it’s who I am.
When I have a great personality when I am happy,
But sometimes I tend to find some things sappy.

Pronunciation
Pronunciation Reflection:
- What is Pronunciation?
It is a matter of fact that all of whom know how to speak english fluently with no slang language or lazy sayings of words properly and clearly.
- Why is Pronunciation important?
Above all pronunciation is important because, when you are speaking to someone or an audience it is required to have the right pronunciation of words so that others may understand what you are saying.
- Do you pronounce words correctly everyday?
To be honest I do not pronounce words properly because I sometimes am too lazy to pronounce the words fluently.

My Holiday Description
Going To The Beach:
The sun was out and my mind felt like it was frying in a hot pan as I lay down on the hot and grainy sand. But as I lay there I began to wonder what does the sparkling water I see from beyond feel like,
“ Is the water hot and gloomy or is it cold and freezing? ”
About ten minutes later I thought to myself and just stood up and ran towards the clear blue water and as I drew nearer and nearer, and I finally leaped into the air and soared like a bird for only a minute until . . . .
SPLASH!! I had landed in a sea of icy cold water surrounding my warm yet shivering body.
As I stood up, my tongue desperate for a sip of fresh water, had not hesitated and accidently took a whiff of the salt water on my lips. the water dripping from my swimming gear was but only just loud enough for me to hear the sweet cries of the sea as the waves gushed over the other with no possible ending.
My body was shivering like as if I had seen a supernatural being, but as I slowly made my way through the water I was being pushed over a few times by the strong gusts of winds that blew in the tide and sometimes blew it out. My heart was at a slow pace until I had went back into the water so that I could stop feeling even colder in the blizzard like wind.
After I had enough of swimming in the water I had stood up and walked towards my family unaware of the winds blowing the cold drop of water off of my swimming gear, as I reached for my towel I realised I didn’t need it we
not yet.

Example Of Two Described Genres
The Rhino Exclusive: A Mystery
On a nice and sunny day, a perfect day for a swim, when all of a sudden a mysterious woman driving at a high speed had crashed into the famous Californian Zoo, while that was happening our old girl Hilda. Who happened to be in her enclosure minding her own business, when all at once she had an intoxicated maniac in a bright red car come crashing into her enclosure and straight into her waterhole.
The Tiger Sibling Rivalry: A Fantasy
On a rainy day, there lie two brothers, both who were tigers. They had massive issues with each other but at least it kept them alive, one of the brothers who was the oldest but the smallest, had made cheeky noises towards his younger but stronger brother. Then all at once the youngest got up and charged at his brother with a roar that sounded like thunder rolling over and over, he charged his brother into a river nearby and the pair were fighting like addictive maniacs.
My Worst Nightmare Sprang To Life
My Worst Nightmare Sprang To Life . . . .
One dull and grey day I felt like I needed to be with my grandma after the accident, I knew how many days went by while she was cramped up in that awful hospital and how I had an urge to go visit her but I just couldn’t bear to see her in a bad shape, it was unhealthy for not only me but for her as well. But I finally had enough courage to go and see her, but something was whispering in my ear to stay in the comfort of my own home and never to think about visiting grandma but I went with my thoughts instead of going with my instincts.
I arrived at the doors of the hospital taking in a deep breath before entering, my mind was blank I couldn’t think of anything to say to her, whether to say “I’m so sorry for not coming in sooner” or to say “How you doing nan.” But I couldn’t make my mind up so I went with “ Hi nana how are doing today.”
Once I entered the building I felt a cold breeze go straight through me like as if it was a lost spirit. But I kept on moving towards the reception, the receptionist said to watch my back while entering the fifth floor where my grandma’s room was, and I asked her why and she said there’s bad things up there.
I felt a little spooked, but I didn’t hesitate any longer and with that I made my way to the elevator and I pushed the button with the bloody number five on it. I had no intention to take notice of the blood on the button or the advice the receptionist gave me.
I was walking down the hall until I saw a strange thing lurking through the other side of the hall with eyes shaded in blood. But once I reached the fifth floor I was freezing like as if I was in a giant freezer, I thought to myself why did I come here in the first place and I remembered I was there to visit my grandma.
When I reached my grandma’s room I could see something cold but dark swirling around her and then disappears like dust getting sucked into a vacuum cleaner. I hesitated at first but I was too curious of what that thing was but when I approached my grandma it came back again but this time showed it’s horrifying bloody mouth with super sharp teeth and eyes the colour of blood.
The fear I felt was horrific with that thing staring me down and warning me not to come any closer than I was, by the look in it’s eyes I knew my grandma was it’s prey and it was feeding on her bloody flesh and by the looks of it that thing was almost finished with her by the looks of her chalky white and pale face. Can you imagine my fear and the horrifying look on my face when I started running for the hospital door but found that I was trapped with the rest of the lost souls in this awful place called Death Row Hospital where the lost souls live.
